“Photography, performance, film, and slide installations, with their individual concept of time play a crucial role in questions of identity, gender, representation, and history. Installations combining the static aspect of photography with the animation of the image (slides) and the use of sound reinforce revisions and reinterpretations of historic and personal materials (‘Silent Tears’, slide installation). Identities emerge from their respective areas whilst recording their abandonment in the evolution of (hi)stories, challenging the ‘Amateur Anthropologist’ to look for a new anchor or phenomena.”
